About Holi
Holi welcomes spring and celebrates the victory of good over evil. On the evening before, families gather around the Holika Dahan bonfire, remembering the story of Prahlad's devotion. The next morning, Mon, Mar 22, 2027 in 2027, streets and gardens fill with gulal, colored powder thrown and smeared on friends, neighbors and strangers, along with water, music, sweets such as gujiya and thandai, and a general permission to forgive and start over.
Something that lasts past the colors
Holi is a festival of play, and printed decor should stay inside and out of the powder. The pieces that suit it are the ones families keep: a family name plaque in a warm colorway such as Kiln, terracotta with sand, for the entry where guests arrive, or place cards with each name for the meal afterwards. A set of hexagonal rangoli tiles in marigold, magenta and gold, made to rearrange into a new pattern each time, is planned for a later season and is not open for orders yet.
Our approach
Patterns are original drawings made by our own software, and we never print deity imagery on decor. Pieces are made to order in our workshop and ship within about five business days. Order by Fri, Mar 5 for Ground or Tue, Mar 9 with Priority Mail. Happy Holi.
Questions about Holi
When is Holi in 2027?
The festival of colors is Mon, Mar 22, 2027. Holika Dahan, the bonfire night, is the evening before.
What is the last day to order?
Order by Fri, Mar 5 for Ground shipping or Tue, Mar 9 with Priority Mail.
Will printed pieces survive the colors?
Keep printed pieces indoors and away from the play. Dry color powder wipes off matte PLA with a soft dry cloth, but wet color can stain light bodies.
Do you make rangoli tiles?
A set of hexagonal rangoli tiles that rearrange into new patterns is planned and not open for orders yet. The remind me form below sends one note when it opens.
Do your designs use deity imagery?
No. Our decor uses original patterns and the words you type, never images of deities.
