About Easter
Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring, so the date moves each year. In 2027 Western churches celebrate on Sun, Mar 28, 2027, and Orthodox churches, which follow the Julian calendar for the reckoning, celebrate on Sunday, May 2. Holy Week leads up to it, and for many families the day itself means church, a long lunch or dinner with relatives and a table dressed for spring.
Setting the table
The Easter meal is often the biggest of the spring, with every generation around one table. Place cards with each guest's name, inlaid flush in a second color, make seating easy and go home as small keepsakes; spring colorways from our Sorbet collection suit the season. For a very large gathering, table numbers keep the room organized. A family name plaque can mark whose house it is, every Easter after this one. A geometric egg set and a faceted cross are planned for a later season and are not open for orders yet.
Two Easters, two order dates
For Western Easter, order by Fri, Mar 12 for Ground shipping or Tue, Mar 16 with Priority Mail. For Orthodox Easter on May 2, order by April 16 for Ground or April 20 with Priority. Pieces are printed to order in our workshop and ship within about five business days. Free shipping from $50.
