About this piece
Your family name with the year you started underneath, the kind of sign that belongs by a front door inside the house, in a hallway or above a mantel. The words are inlaid flush in a second color, so the face is smooth to the touch and nothing can peel.
- Fluted, No. 01 Linen. Fine reeding across the plate, stopping in soft rounded ends around a smooth panel that holds the words.
- Contour, No. 01 Linen. Rings drawn from the outlines of your own letters spread across the plate like a map. Change a letter and the map changes with it.
The plate is 240 mm wide and grows a little for longer names, up to 278 mm, and the square keyway notch sits in the centre of its top edge.

Questions about the family name plaque
What do people usually put on it?
The family name on the first line, such as The Parkers, and Est. with a year on the second. The second line is optional, so the name can stand alone.
Can it hang outside by the front door?
No, it is for indoors. The plastic softens in direct sun and heat.
Do the keyholes show from the front?
No. They are blind slots cut into the back and never break through the face.
How long can the name be?
Up to 18 characters on the first line and 20 on the second. Long names set a little smaller to stay inside the plate.
