Our story
Every piece starts as your words.
Keyedworks is a small workshop. We write the software that designs each object, run the printers that make it and measure every piece before it ships. Nothing is printed until someone orders it.
Most things are made for everyone, so they fit no one exactly. We work the other way around. We write software that designs an object from what you tell us: a name, a card count, the inside of a drawer. The piece is drawn once, around your words or your numbers, printed to order in our workshop and checked against them before it ships. There is no shelf and no stock: each piece is printed for the order it belongs to. Quiet materials, two colors at most, nothing that shouts. What arrives was made once, for you, and the card in the box says so.

How a piece is made
- 01
Your words or your numbers
A name and two colors. A card size and a sleeve choice. The inside of a drawer. Each page asks for exactly what the design needs and nothing else, and the preview redraws as you type.
- 02
The code draws it
Every product here is a generator we wrote, not a file we bought. Your inputs set the width, the depth, the spacing and the letters, and the model is generated when you order.
- 03
The printer makes it
The piece is printed to order in matte plant based PLA, in two colors at most, laid out so the faces you see come off the machine clean. Fine layer lines stay visible on curves. We do not hide how it was made.
- 04
We measure, then sign it off
Before it ships, the piece is checked against your numbers with calipers and against your text letter by letter. Then it goes in the box with its card.
The card in the box
An edition of one, and the paperwork to prove it
Every personalized or measured piece ships with a printed card that records what it was generated from: the words you typed or the numbers you measured, the finished size, the colors and the date. It is the honest version of a certificate: a record of the words or numbers this piece was drawn from, and the order it was made for.
Sending it as a gift? The card names who it was made for, and the box carries no price.

Materials and finish
Matte, solid and honest about how it was made
We print in matte PLA, a rigid plant based plastic, for everything that lives indoors. On name plates and the signature pieces the letters are inlaid flush in a second color in the same print, so there is no paint to chip and no sticker to peel.
Look closely at a curve and you will see fine layer lines. That is the signature of the process, and we leave it alone rather than sand it away.
House rules
- Two colors at most. A quiet body and one accent. No silk, no glitter, no rainbow spools.
- Original designs only. Every generator is ours. No downloaded files, no characters, no logos, no trade dress.
- Nothing that could hurt someone. Nothing for children, nothing that touches food or drink, no magnets, nothing safety critical.
- Plain prices and stated windows. The price updates as you choose. Each piece ships in 4 to 10 business days, and the date is on the page, in the cart and in your email.
The Keyed Promise
If we got it wrong, we print it again.
If the spelling is not what you typed, if it arrives damaged, or if a measured piece misses the numbers you gave us, it is printed again free. If your own measurement was off, the reprint is half price, because we would rather you end up with the right part. You have 12 hours after ordering to change anything.
