The best gifts for dad replace something he already uses with a better version that has his name on it. The watch stand and the valet tray give his keys, wallet and watch a home at the end of the day. The golf ball display holds the balls that mean something, from a first round or a hole in one. On the desk, the desk name plate and the business card holder are the classic pair, and the headphone stand reads like furniture.
Every piece is generated by our software around the words you type and printed to order. The name is inlaid flush, level with the surface, not painted on.
Choosing the look
Fluted is fine vertical flutes around a smooth panel and suits almost every room. Contour turns his name into the summit of a topographic map. Morse spells a word or a date in the flutes, which tends to start a conversation.
For color, Gallery (bone and ink) is the safe default, Ember (ink and mandarin) adds one bright edge, and the Marquee pairs, ink with copper, silver or gold, look most formal.
Father's Day, his birthday, retirement and the holidays each have a last order date in the calendar on this page. Free shipping from $50.
Questions
What do people usually get dad here?
The watch stand and the valet tray for the dresser, the golf ball display for the shelf, and the desk name plate for the office. All four carry his name inlaid flush in a second color.
Should it say Dad or his name?
Either. Some people type Dad, some type his surname, some type a nickname only the family uses. The piece is generated from exactly what you type.
Can I put a date on it?
On pieces with the Morse finish the flutes can spell a date or a short word, like a birth year or the year he retired. The card in the box shows how to read it.
What colors look right in a study or a garage?
Library, olive with bone, and Concrete, fog with ink, are the quiet ones. Ink with copper from the Marquee pairs looks like old brass hardware.
