An anodized aluminum keychain tag engraved with a name and up to three lines inside a fine fluted border, on a ball chain.
In first article testing
We print the first one before we sell any.
- 1We print the first one on the same machine and settings as every order.
- 2We measure it against the drawing: fits, walls, the name inlay, how it stands or hangs.
- 3We photograph it and log the result. Only then does Add to cart switch on.
We plan to open it by October 18 if the test piece passes. If it needs another round, the page says so.
Care and safety
- Laser engraved on anodized aluminum tag 50.8 x 28.6 mm with ball chain. Natural materials vary in grain and tone from piece to piece. We never laser PVC, vinyl or unknown materials.
- We email a proof before printing. Nothing prints until you approve it.
About this piece
A small aluminum tag for a key ring, a shadow box or a desk drawer. The name is engraved largest, with up to three short lines under it, through the colored anodize to the bright metal beneath, inside a border of short fluted marks that frames the words like the edge of a coin.
Words only: type a name, a role, a branch as words or the years served. We never engrave seals, insignia, emblems or slogans, and we email a proof of the layout before anything is engraved.

Questions about the engraved aluminum service tag
Can you add a branch emblem or a unit insignia?
No. We engrave words only. You can type the branch or the unit as words, and we check the layout on the proof.
Can I use it as a pet ID tag?
No. It is sold as a keychain and keepsake tag only.
How long can the lines be?
The name up to 18 characters, each other line up to 20. Longer lines engrave smaller, and the proof shows exactly how it will look.
Will the engraving wear off?
No. The laser removes the colored anodize, so the letters are the bare aluminum itself. Keys will polish the tag a little over the years.
