About Grandparents Day
Grandparents Day falls on the first Sunday after Labor Day. It is a quieter day than most, which makes it a good one for a gift that has the whole family in it.
The family, written down
The family name plaque carries the family name and the year they married, in the Fluted or Contour finish. A picture frame holds a photograph of everyone together, with a short line or the grandchildren's first names along the edge. The key holder puts the family name above a row of hooks by the door, a piece they will use every day.
Clear and quiet
Names are inlaid flush in a second, contrasting color, so they read across a room without being loud. Pick a pair like Linen bone and ink for contrast, or a warmer pair to match their home.
Planned pieces for this day, including a family tree of name tiles on a fluted rail, are described here only so you know where the line is going. Free shipping from $50.
Questions about Grandparents Day
When is Grandparents Day 2027?
It is the first Sunday after Labor Day, which is Sun, Sep 12, 2027 this year. Order by Thu, Aug 26 for Ground shipping or by Mon, Aug 30 with Priority Mail.
Can a piece carry all the grandchildren's names?
The picture frame takes a short line, such as a list of first names that fits along the edge. Planned pieces built around a list of names, like a family tree in tiles, follow later.
What do grandparents actually use?
A key holder by the door with the family name, a picture frame on the shelf, or a family name plaque with the year they married.
Can I ship it to them directly?
Yes. Ship to their address anywhere in the United States; the arrival window shows before you order.
Is the lettering easy to read?
Names are inlaid flush in a second, contrasting color and sized to the words, so they read clearly across a room.
