An arched indoor plaque with your pet's name, their dates and one short line, inlaid flush in a second color.
Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on November 1 and 2, when families remember the people they have lost and welcome their spirits home for a short while. The heart of it is the ofrenda: a home altar layered with photographs, candles, papel picado, favorite foods and drinks, and the orange blaze of cempasuchil, the marigolds whose color and scent are said to guide the way back.
The pieces that belong on an ofrenda are personal. A photograph in a frame that carries the person's name and the years of their life gives the altar a fixed point, and it can come out again every year. Our picture frame sets a name or a short line into its border in a second color, flush with the surface, so it reads clearly beside candles and flowers without shouting. A family name plaque can mark the household that keeps the altar.
Write the name exactly as the family used it. Accents and nicknames are welcome, and every memorial line is proofed before printing.
If the ofrenda uses candles, keep printed pieces well away from any flame; PLA softens with heat. For a lit look near a frame, an LED tealight is the safer choice. Our pieces are made to order in our workshop and ship within about five business days.
Order by Fri, Oct 16 for Ground shipping or Tue, Oct 20 with Priority. Many families build the ofrenda in the last days of October, so earlier is kinder to your plans.
No. Dia de los Muertos is a time to remember and welcome back loved ones who have died. We keep the two apart, and nothing here uses costume skulls or sugar skull imagery.
Yes. The picture frame takes a name or a short line set into the border. Memorial wording is proofed before anything prints, so you see the spelling first.
Marigold and ofrenda pieces are planned for a later season and are not available yet. The remind me form below will tell you when they open.
Personalized pieces are final sale except defects. If we got it wrong or it arrived damaged, the Keyed Promise prints it again free.
