Stackable bins on the 42 mm grid, six footprints, three heights, with a label lip.
About this piece
Bins on the 42 mm grid, printed in six footprints and three heights. Each one has a stacking lip so bins sit square on top of each other, a label lip along the front edge for a strip of tape or a printed label, and a scooped floor along the front so small parts roll to your fingers. Walls are 1.2 mm.
They sit on our drawer baseplate and on other common 42 mm grid baseplates. Keyedworks is not affiliated with any grid system's creators.
What goes in them
- 1 x 1: screws, nuts, SD cards, earbuds, erasers, dice.
- 1 x 2: pens, USB sticks, batteries, drill bits, lipsticks.
- 1 x 3: pencils, long bits, cables coiled, chopsticks.
- 2 x 2: tape measure, phone, glue, small tools, cosmetics.
- 2 x 3 and 3 x 3: hand tools, chargers, notebooks, kitchen gadgets.
Low is 21 mm for flat things. Standard is 42 mm for most. Tall is 63 mm for things that stand up.

Questions about the grid bins
Do they need a baseplate?
No, they sit flat on any surface. The baseplate is what stops them sliding in a drawer and locks them into a grid.
Are they compatible with other 42 mm grid bins and plates?
Yes, they share the 42 mm pitch and the common stacking profile. Mixed sets from different makers sit together on the same plate.
Can I get a lid?
Not yet. Stacking a low bin on top of another bin closes it for transport.
Are they dishwasher safe?
No. PLA softens in a dishwasher. Wipe them with a damp cloth.
What is the biggest bin?
3 x 3 at 126 mm square. For a wider bin, order the drawer divider kit, which can be cut to any size up to a full drawer.
