Game storage inserts / KW-INS-TOKEN
Token Tray
A compartment tray for tokens, meeples and dice, in two footprints.
About this piece
Every compartment floor is scooped, so pieces slide to your fingers instead of hiding in the corners. Pick the footprint, the number of compartments and the height, and the walls are laid out evenly. Walls are 1.2 mm, thin enough to maximize space, thick enough to survive the box being dropped.
Three footprints match common box layouts. The small 120 mm square sits beside two card trays in a square box. Medium and large fill the space left by a board.
What goes in it
- Wooden cubes, discs and meeples by player color.
- Cardboard tokens and coins by denomination.
- Dice, by set or by type.
- Small plastic pieces, resource tokens and markers.
Twelve compartments on the small footprint are about 25 mm square each, which suits coins and small tokens. Four on the large footprint are about 90 by 70 mm, which suits meeples by the dozen.

Questions about the token tray
Can the compartments be different sizes?
The configurator makes an even grid. For uneven layouts, order the custom box insert and set the grid, or email us a sketch for a quote.
Will it fit under the board in my box?
Measure the depth from the top of the insert area to the underside of the board. The 30 mm height fits most boxes with a board on top; the 45 mm height suits deep boxes or boxes without a board.
Can I stack two trays?
Yes. The rim is flat and the footprint matches, so two of the same footprint stack square.
Do pieces rattle in transit?
Less than in bags, since each compartment is full. For a full stop, a sheet of foam or the rulebook on top of the tray holds everything in place.
