Freestanding Letters
Chunky standalone letters, priced per letter, in two heights.
About this piece
Each letter is a solid block, 30 mm deep, that stands on its own. Spell a name for a shelf, a word for a desk, a year for a party table, initials for a mantel. You space them however you like, because they are not joined.
You pay per letter. Type the letters, pick a height and a color, and the price updates as you type. Two heights: 100 mm for desks and shelves, 150 mm for mantels, counters and tables.

- A year or a word on a party table, a graduation table or a retirement cake table.
- A short word for a shop counter or a market stall.
- A single oversized letter as a bookend partner.
Letters are the same color throughout. Mix colors by ordering letters in separate lines of the cart.

Questions about the freestanding letters
How wide is each letter?
It depends on the letter. At 100 mm tall a W is about 90 mm wide and an I about 30 mm. At 150 mm tall multiply by one and a half. A five letter name at 100 mm usually spans about 320 to 380 mm with a thumb of space between letters.
Will round letters like O and S stand up?
Yes. Every letter has a flattened foot that is machined into the model, so O, S, C, G and the numerals stand without wobbling.
Can I order lowercase?
The set is uppercase. Lowercase letters have descenders that would not stand, so we do not offer them.
What is the minimum?
Two letters. There is no maximum, but twelve per line keeps the form simple; add another line to the cart for more.
Can the letters be glued to a board?
Yes, any cyanoacrylate or construction adhesive bonds PLA to wood or painted board. The back is flat.
